SHAKHI is dedicated to empowering marginalized women, girls, and children in the Terai/Madhesh region, particularly in Bara district. We work to eliminate gender-based discrimination, promote education, and create opportunities for leadership and economic independence. Through grassroots activism, community engagement, and feminist approaches, SHAKHI strives to break the cycle of social exclusion and ensure gender equality in all spheres of life. Vision SHAKHI envisions a just and equitable society where women and girls from marginalized communities have the power to make decisions, access education and health services, and participate in leadership and economic activities without discrimination. We aim to build a future where gender equality is a reality, and every girl has the freedom to dream, learn, and lead.
