YWOU’s mission is to improve the livelihood of those living in the poorest communities through holistic programs, quality educational opportunities through scholarships and bursaries, life skills and vocational training, economic empowerment and family support, sports and recreation programs,YWOU collaborates and networks with likeminded donors, local communities, governments, families, and other stakeholders in rural areas to provide holistic community services to communities in need. YWOU initiatives address issues such as quality education, livelihoods, agriculture, climate change, food security, clean water, sanitation and hygiene, poverty, entrepreneurship, and empowerment of women and girls. YWOU empowers youth, girls and women to achieve their full potential through providing quality education opportunities by offering scholarship aid to needy and deserving girls and young women, capacity development through mentorship, coaching, peer budding and services
