Binish Kanwal

I’m Binish from Pakistan. I’m passionate about education and empowering marginalized communities. I took the initiative to start a school for children from underprivileged nomadic communities and street children. Many of my students come from extremely challenging backgrounds, where they are forced to work as child laborers, beggars, garbage collectors, or daily wage workers. Despite these difficulties, they come to school with hope and determination.

Veronica Dzeagu

I have worked in the field of education for more than a decade. Over this period, I have gained valuable experience of education service delivery and some of its challenges. The issues I have worked on include education financing, inclusive education, teacher development, girls’ education, technical and vocational education and training, early childhood education.

Nazeefullah Zeerak

I have a master’s degree in Islamic studies and education, with over 11 years of experience as volunteer, social activist and advocate for women rights true gender based, I have dedicated my career to promoting equal accessibility in education, I have successfully conducted more than 50 local awareness programs within communities and education centers, focusing on empowering women and youth.

Habiba Mohammed

Habiba Mohammed is the Executive Director of Centre for Girls’ Education, Zaria, Nigeria. The Centre for Girls’ Education is a Non-governmental civil society organization helping to delay age of marriage by reducing social and economic barriers to female schooling and providing group-based mentoring and support.

Rukiya Abdul Aziz

Expert in Emergency Preparedness and Response in Humanitarian and conflict situations. Extensive knowledge and field experience, in implementing protection principles and programming in IDPs, and Refugee situations with the UN and I/NGOs in Central Asia, MENA, and South-East Europe. Prior to joining UNHCR, served as Country Director, Child Protection, GBV, Advocacy, and Campaigning with I/NGOs. Academic achievement in Development Practice and Political Sciences with a focus on Public Policy.

Collins Seymah Smith

Collins is a Theatre practitioner and a Youth Worker with over 15 years’ experience. Over the years, he has focused his energies on working with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, using drama to help develop awareness of their sexual and reproductive rights and health. He has worked in multiple, diverse groups, always taking care to create an environment for their self-empowerment and equipping them with advocacy skills via forum theatre. As a community development advocate, he has coordinated a series of behaviour change workshops focused on gender-based violence in communities using theatre which has benefited many young people directly and indirectly. Collins is a founding member of Act for Change and helped establish the James Town Community Theatre Centre in 2011.

With hands-on experience as a supply teacher and a background in early childhood education, she is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environments for children. I am a teacher by profession, a social work by affiliation and an Alcohol and substance use professional by training. I work towards ensuring behavioral and social change among school going children both in schools and communities. Alcohol and substance use in communities is one of the reasons for high school drop out rates among school going children, poverty and illnesses.
