Vítor Barbosa was born in Huambo on November 21, 1950. He completed his training as a school teacher in Cuima in 1969, the same year he began working as a teacher. He pursued primary teaching and higher education in psychology at ISCED in Luanda. He held various positions in the Ministry of Education, including Deputy Coordinator of the National School Inspection Commission. He was involved in the first educational reform, notably the radio program for training primary school teachers. He also taught psychology and served as the director of the Pre-University Center of Luanda for 10 years. Since 1996, he has been dedicated to the education of young people and adults, particularly in Non-Formal Education, including Popular Education.
