As part of its commitment to inclusive education, EDN collaborated with global partners to contribute to the December 2024 policy paper addressing systemic gender-based violence in Afghanistan. The paper highlights the devastating impact of the Taliban’s repressive policies on women’s access to education, emphasizing the urgent need for international intervention. EDN advocates for alternative education pathways and global accountability to safeguard Afghan women and girls’ fundamental rights.

In collaboration with education and human rights champions, EDN contributed to the December 2024 policy paper on women’s public health education in Afghanistan. This vital document highlights the Taliban’s ban on women in public health training, a policy that exacerbates healthcare disparities and violates fundamental human rights. EDN continues to support innovative education solutions, including online learning and partnerships with civil society, to ensure Afghan women have access to essential training and opportunities.
